Design Miami/ 带来Design Miami/ Podium x Shanghai展会最新亮点揭秘 —

上海，2021年8月26日 - Design Miami/ Podium x Shanghai展会是Design Miami/ 在中国的首次亮相，这场聚焦收藏级设计的博览会由 Design Miami/ 携手主办方“垠舍制造 Made in House”以及联合主办方“汉唐文化”共同举办，展会将于11月4 - 14日，上海艺术周期间举行。此次展会邀请了全球超过20家参展机构，以“物感——设计的艺术”为主题呈现从20世纪到当代顶尖艺术家们的收藏级设计珍品。

Shanghai, August 26th, 2021 - Design Miami’s first event in China, Design Miami/ Podium x Shanghai (4-14 November) will welcome over 20 international exhibitors showcasing a selection of historical 20th-century designs alongside contemporary works from celebrated designers. Presented in collaboration with Made In House and hantang Culture which will be held during Shanghai Art Week, Design Miami/ Podium x Shanghai will explore the curatorial theme of “Wu Gan: The Art of Design”.

此次展会策展由Design Miami/ 策展总监 Aric Chen 陈伯康与联合策展人（上海）汪汝徽共同完成。这个全新的策展形式将通过展示20世纪及当代的设计藏品，探索“设计”作为一种“艺术”形态的存在，同时将回溯中国历史文化中精致装饰主义的传统，以在中国当代的语境中唤起对“设计/艺术”的新理解。Design Miami/ Podium x Shanghai 融合了顶级的博览会体验及博物馆级的展览内容。届时，所有展出作品均可在限定时间内于博览会现场或 www.designmiami.com 官网在线藏购。此次上海首展同步开辟线上观展，藏家可尽享“在线藏购-选品到家”的贵宾服务；此外，交互式 3D 在线观展、虚拟观展项目、品牌跨界合作、设计师亮点解析等诸多在线互动环节等你一一解锁。

Curated by Design Miami/ Curatorial Director Aric Chen and Deputy Curator (Shanghai), Violet Ruhui Wang, the new, curated exhibition format will investigate design as an art form through 20th-century and contemporary works, while drawing on Chinese culture’s historical relationship with fine objects to prompt new interpretations in a contemporary, global context. Presented as a hybrid physical and digital event, all exhibited works at Design Miami/ Podium x Shanghai will be available to purchase both in-person and also online at designmiami.com for a limited time. As well as the ability to shop online, the digital event experience will also include interactive 3D tours, virtual programming, brand partner installations, designer spotlights, and more.

Design Miami/ Podium以及参展艺廊将展出一系列具有历史意义的20世纪典藏级的设计珍品，包括欧洲设计史上重要的作品如Galerie Patrick Seguin（巴黎）艺廊呈现的Jean Prouvé与来自Gokelaere & Robinson艺廊的Finn Juhl的代表作酋长椅（Chieftain Chair）原版，到一系列世界其他国家与地区的现代主义作品：如Art & Deco Gallery艺廊（上海）将呈现艺术家丁乙多年来所收藏的上海装饰艺术家具珍品；以及Nilufar（米兰）艺廊展示的来自巴西Studio d'Arte Palma工作室 Lina Bo Bardi与Giancarlo Palanti在1950年代创作的“Zig Zag chair”。这些设计作品都简明地展示了现代主义的多样性，同时又定义了20世纪设计的特点。

Design Miami/ Podium and its galleries will present a selection of historical 20th-century designs that succinctly illustrate the diversity of modernisms that so iconically define 20th-century design, from well-known European classics like the work of Jean Prouvé at Galerie Patrick Seguin (Paris) and Finn Juhl presented by Gokelaere & Robinson (Knokke) to examples of other modernisms as they emerged elsewhere in the world, ranging from an exquisite selection of Shanghai Art Deco from Art & Deco Gallery (Shanghai) to a rare 1950s Zig Zag chair by Lina Bo Bardi and Giancarlo Palanti of the Brazilian studio Studio d'Arte Palma presented by Nilufar (Milan).

博览会还将呈现中国设计师在跨学科创作上的探索，唤起着中国美术史上对“物的艺术”的实践。如专注于佛造像艺术的蒋晟，此次将基于展览场域呈现一尊超过 2 米高的铝制立像新作，这是他迄今为止创作的最大型的作品之一。徐震和周亦伦等艺术家的作品也会在博览会中出现，他们展现了中国的当代创作者在艺术和设计领域的流畅穿梭。同时，Daniel Arsham、Virgil Abloh、Rick Owens 和 Misha Kahn这些当代不断打破边界陈规的设计师的作品，也在此次展出之列。

The exhibition will also illustrate how many Chinese designers are operating across and between disciplinary boundaries, evoking the historical lack of distinction between art forms in China. Jiang Sheng, celebrated for his exquisitely contemporary Buddhist sculptures, will present a more than 2-meter-high standing Bodhisattva in aluminum, one of his largest pieces to date. Also included will be the likes of Xu Zhen and Zhou Yilun, practitioners who work fluidly across contemporary art and design. They will be joined by similarly boundary-breaking designers from abroad such as Daniel Arsham, Virgil Abloh, Rick Owens and Misha Kahn.

展会的其他亮点还包括Thomas Heatherwick 具有变革性的设计 “Friction Table”。这件作品将与设计师标志性的钢制 “ Spun chair” 及“ Extrusion bench”同时在Design Miami/ Podium x Shanghai展会上亮相；香港著名设计师 André Fu也将首次展出他的同名收藏级设计系列；林芳璐作为今年国际 Loewe 工艺奖得主也将展出她与云南少数民族工匠合作的纤维作品新作。设计师George Nakashima与Wendell Castle 在美国工艺运动时期的重要作品也是此次历史性收藏级作品的亮点，同时Design Miami/ Podium x Shanghai展会还将呈现中国本土艺廊如Pearl Lam Gallery艺廊、 Gallery All艺廊、 Gallery Sohe艺廊、 Objective Gallery艺廊以及Art & Deco Gallery艺廊的收藏级设计作品。

Other highlights on show will include Thomas Heatherwick’s transformative Friction table, which is making its international debut at Design Miami/ Podium x Shanghai, alongside the designer’s iconic steel Spun chair and Extrusion bench. Celebrated Hong Kong designer André Fu will debut his first ever collection of collectible design pieces and Lin Fanglu--this year's international Loewe Craft Prize winner - will showcase her fiber works made in collaboration with ethnic minority artisans in Yunnan province. Historical highlights include important works from the American craft movement by George Nakashima and Wendell Castle , while Design Miami/ Podium x Shanghai will also illustrate the ongoing growth of Chinese galleries that specialize in and show collectible design, with participation from Pearl Lam Gallery, Gallery All, Gallery Sohe, Objective Gallery, and Art & Deco Gallery.
